Iningat Ilagiit: Connecting through the Cape Dorset Archive

Through this online resource, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection offers unique access to works created by artists from Kinngait (Cape Dorset). Visitors are invited to browse some 4,000 works, and to create their own sharable virtual exhibits.

Innigat Ilagiit — meaning “a place for family” — is also intended to enable Northern Communities to connect with their own artistic heritage, while increasing the world’s awareness and appreciation of the exceptional art of Kinngait.
