Bruck Mills — once the star of the Canadian textile industry — was the cornerstone of Cowansville’s industrial and demographic growth for over 50 years. It is most known for having produced the first yard of silk in Canada in 1922 and the first Canadian flag in 1964. This virtual exhibit tells the story of the factory and of several generations of workers who witnessed both its golden age and decline.
